Workshop Flow on Stage 🎻
Young Talent Violin Program
———————
This weekend, I led a workshop on stage skills and performance awareness for young musicians.
We explored what happens both before stepping on stage and while performing.
Backstage, we used body-mapping exercises to identify physical tension, sensations and habitual responses, and experimented with ways to release unnecessary tension before performing.
On stage, we worked on identifying clear focus points: where attention goes, what helps us stay present, and how to redirect focus when nerves or distractions appear.
One of the central ideas was simple: performing well is not only about preparation or technique. It is also about learning how to manage attention, body awareness and presence in the moment.
The goal is not to eliminate nerves, but to create the conditions in which flow can happen.
A great morning of experimentation, reflection and, of course, music.
